Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, Nevada. Located in the desert near Las Vegas, the beautiful red rock formations are made of Aztec sandstone from lithified sand dunes that formed in a vast southwestern desert during the Jurassic period. The tiny people in motion walking along the ground and climbing on the rocks give you a sense of the size of these majestic rock formations.
