This gallery contains stock photographs of California, a place I love: Pacific Palisades, Pebble Beach and other beaches along the California coastline. The awesome Coast Redwoods from Muir Woods and tall ships in San Diego Harbor. Photos of San Francisco, Los Angeles, Venice Beach, Hollywood, Santa Monica, and more from San Diego, California are soon to follow. Most of these images are unreleased but some have model releases. All unreleased images of people are editorial use only and any restrictions, availability of model releases, etc. can be found in the EXIF data. Permitted use of images containing people and/or property is the responsibility of the purchaser. Tiffs and RAW images are also available. They are the tallest trees on earth and some in the forest are 500-1,200 years old. Ferns, which reproduce via spores rather than seeds, are another ancient plant dating back 300 million years. Muir Woods is home to 13 species of ferns, most commonly seen among them are the lady, sword, maidenhair, and gold back ferns. The Western sword fern (Polystichum munitum) is from the family Dryopteridaceae (Wood ferns).
