Chappaqua Fire - April 11, 2014 { 17 images } Created 11 Apr 2014
Chappaqua, NY - April 11, 2014: As of 5 AM this morning, firefighters from Chappaqua and neighboring towns in Westchester County New York, including Mt. Kisco (those in the bucket) were still fighting a blaze in a building that housed the Whispering Pines Flower Shop and residential apartments. All seven residents escaped unharmed, but the building was completely destroyed. The fire began around 1 AM Friday morning, with heavy smoke blanketing the surrounding area. The smell of smoke first alerted me to the blaze.
