This subspecies, Odocoileus virginianus borealis, northern whitetail deer, is prevalent throughout New York State, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota in the United States and Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, and Quebec in Canada.
