The congregation of this historic church first formed in 1720. The present church structure was erected in 1830 and moved to its current location in 1866, with various alterations through the 1960s. In 1961 the church became affiliated with the United Church of Christ. Funds raised from the pumpkin sale benefit the Chatham Childrens Fund.
