The Twin Lights Lighthouse, also known as the Navesink Lightstation, is located on the Navesink Highlands in Highlands, New Jersey, USA. The lights protect the coastal waters of New York Harbor and northern New Jersey. The current lighthouse, designed by architect Joseph Lederle with two non-identical towers linked by keepers quarters and storage rooms, was built from local brownstone in 1862, replacing earlier buildings. Along with different sized towers, one tower light is fixed and the other tower has a light that flashes, making the structure easy for seafarers to identify.
