Bold and bright yellow orange Mexican water lily, Nymphaea mexicana, aka yellow water lily, banana waterlily. Contemporary mixed media watercolor painting. Although native to the gulf coast, these ornamental plants can be seen in quiet lakes and ponds throughout North America from the southern United States to as far north as Canada. This digital watercolor is based on a photo taken in an outdoor lily pond in my native New York. If you purchase a home decor item such as a throw pillow or mug and do not customize it so that the image fills the entire space, which is what I'd recommend, then for the background choose more colors and then add Hex color #FCFCFE for the smoothest color transition.
