The Brant Point Lighthouse stands at the entrance to Nantucket Harbor welcoming visitors arriving by ferry to Nantucket. The lighthouse station, established in 1746, is America's second oldest light station, after Boston Light (1716), but the current 26 foot tall white wooden lighthouse tower (the lowest in New England) was built in 1901. Its red light was installed in 1933. It was automated in 1965. Nantucket, Massachusetts, USA 2010
